Spina Bifida
Marriage & Family Therapist
I am unique. I have conquered all, have lived life to the fullest and have had a ball. I like to have fun with friends and family and I like to try new experiences. Having spina bifida has not stopped me from achieving a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy. I graduated from St. Thomas University. In the future, I plan to open my own private counseling practice. I also plan to help out more in my community. I’m currently not involved as much as I want to be, but I hope to make that one of the goals in my life. I am becoming independent and am learning how to drive. I am also performing everyday tasks on my own. I have built the strength to believe in myself and that anything is possible, if I set my mind to it. I am able to cope with my disability by accepting the fact that I am a unique individual, and I am capable of living just like everyone else. I am smart, funny, and outgoing. However, there are a few things that make me tick, and the one thing that people must know is that I don’t like to be taken for granted. I am a lioness! Hear me roar! I am one of a kind; there is no other like me. I have blossomed into a phenomenal woman.
