Model: Camila Sosa
My name is Camila Sosa and I am 20 years old. I am studying Social Communications at Quality Leadership University. I started a mental health movement because I have bipolar disorder and have been on the verge of suicide.
In 2015, I was diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder. Then in 2016, at the beginning of the year, I was diagnosed with depression and in October I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
Many people think that a bipolar person has sudden mood swings, but in reality, a person with bipolar disorder has spaced episodes of depression and hypomania that usually last two weeks. The photo conveys how it feels to live with a mental illness.
Many times people do not give importance to this type of disability since they are not visible, but just because it is not seen, it does not mean that it is not there. The picture represents how you feel when you have a mental illness: trapped.
