Camille Quintero
I was born with a physical disability called Cerebral Palsy and I’ve had four surgeries. Right now I’m going to physical therapy every Wednesday and the other days I exercise at home.
Growing up with Cerebral Palsy has shown me how to be strong and how to be independent. Soon I will graduate from Miami Dade College with an associate degree in arts; I studied to be a Social Worker. I started in interior design and then I changed to Social Work. My focus has always been on kids.
I was born and raised in Maracaibo, Venezuela, I love the country and its people and I miss it a lot. I have three brothers and a sister and also my parents; we all lived there but nine years ago I moved here followed by my sister. My two oldest brothers already lived in the United States and my third brother moved here four years ago. Growing up in Maracaibo it was like another world because I had my whole family there and we were all raised there.
I’ve been living here for nine years building my life little by little. I’m an individual who loves to be around people, who loves movies, music, and hopes to travel the world.
