Fay Kanevsky
Fay Kanevsky (they/she) is an LA based queer, autistic, and physically disabled actor, creator, and artist. They share their journey online through comedy, fashion, advocacy, and education through their lens as a disabled creative. She loves to advocate through connection, storytelling, and art and is so excited to be a part of the Bold Beauty Project.
People treat disabled folks as an “other,” they gawk and stare, make assumptions, but don’t often do the work they need to do to see what they can do to help our community.
Fay wanted to dress as a fantasy fairy in a forest with their rollater and service dog to show their self expression and how they feel in the world. They feel othered but also part of a beautiful secret community and wanted to feel free to explore and share their interests. She wants viewers to see that the disability community is beautiful, creative, and has so much to offer. She want them to know that the community is not exclusive and will be ready to accept everyone when the time comes, but encourage everyone to fight for the community and help amplify their voices before they join them too.
