Layla Crehan
I am a Special Olympics Global Messenger, and the Chairperson for Broward County and Area 6 Athlete Leadership; an Athlete Leadership Council member, and the co-chair of the Health Messenger Outreach for South Florida. I am very proud of these positions and thankful for the opportunities, and I compete in seven sports: swimming, open-water swimming, surfing, stand-up paddleboarding, volleyball, basketball, and alpine skiing. When I’m not competing, I love to create art for my Facebook art store, “Dancing Red Panda.” Philanthropy is a big part of my life, and I give back to SOFL and my fellow athletes by donating my art to help keep us competing in these amazing sports. When I’m not competing or working at my store, I love to travel, cook, draw, enjoy outdoor activities, ice skating, volunteer, and hang out with my friends! I thank Lisa for the amazing photo shoot! She made me feel special, seen, and accepted for who I am.
